If I am poetry,
Write me in your pages,
Memorize me,
Give as much life as your
Other passions.
If I am poetry,
Build me a stage
Where my verses
Take up the microphone
Building my persona
Out of words.
If I am poetry,
Let me rest on the shelf
Of your favorite books,
Lie open on your night stand,
hide my bent pages
Under your pillow,
In your wallet
Between the bank card n ID;
B/c I am necessity.
