Hiatus 11/14

Sometimes,
Hiatus is necessarily
planned
through workshops, trainings,
and retreats.
Structured times
to frame
what we can't
wrap our minds around
in inapplicable
and inadequate language;
why can't we just do the work?
We get lost
in our own definitions
of what's good
and what you need,
when 2 words,
over coffee,
can change
both perspectives.
I'm tired of
painting pictures
 so somebody else can see!
The value in the paint
is more than my brush strokes
and a canvas can ever speak,
but you won't hear that,
b/c you are trapped,
in your own institutions,
and can't talk your way out,
when all you have to do
walk outside.
