Business cards are the collateral of dreams,
the confirmed conversations
the sealed deals
tacked to China Buffet's Wall
or dropped in the fishbowl at Menchies.
Printed squares of and for potential customers
come cheap,
something like $20 for 1000,
and the return is marked
in booked shows, greater exposure, and less anxiety;
we can write it all off
even if nobody calls,
b/c we did the work,
while VistaPrint brought us closer
to the us we envision,
that a business card can't.
We sold you a little part of ourselves.
