Newsfeed
is like christmas garland
that decorates your mind,
shiny, sparkling strands of
other folks lives,
catching just enough light
to glisten
outside of the ordinary,
the storage box
or the last minute sale at Target.
Newsfeed doesn't create
anything more than what we allow,
b/c we chose how we want our trees decorated
and we hang the garland just so,
certain people stay on the top stories
and others you have to search for,
like that special ornament at the bottom of the box.
And, yes, we take the time
to read/catch up with those who don't
blow up our timelines.
They live face to face,
rather than in this space
called facebook.
